About Naseer Mohiuddin, P.Eng.
Naseer Mohiuddin, P.Eng., is a distinguished professional with over four decades of experience in the field of high voltage substation design, as well as predictive and preventive maintenance of substations and renewable energy systems. His extensive expertise encompasses conducting forensic analyses to identify root causes and develop effective remedies for various electrical issues.
Mr. Mohiuddin has performed comprehensive power system studies for 115kV and 230kV Great Lakes Power Transmission (GLPT) in Sault Ste. Marie, utilizing advanced software tools such as PSS/E, EasyPower, and PSCAD. Notably, he led a study focused on replacing outdated electro-mechanical relays with state-of-the-art digital relays, significantly enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the power system.
In addition to his work in North America, Mr. Mohiuddin boasts nearly twenty years of specialized experience in both air-insulated and SF6 gas-insulated substations in the Middle East. His international experience and technical acumen have made him a highly respected figure in the field of electrical engineering, particularly in high voltage and substation technologies.
Furthermore, he had the valuable opportunity to witness the installation, testing, and commissioning of 115kV and 345kV substations equipment for the 200MW Odell Windfarm, including the transmission line linked to the 345kV Wood Hill substation near Windom, Minnesota, USA. Moreover, Mr. Mohiuddin performed similar activities for the 150MW Great Bay Solar project in Salisbury, Maryland, and the 150MW Deerfield Windfarm in Michigan, USA.
